Kaziranga is the only Wildlife National park in India which houses the one horned rhinoceros and also the second place in the world to have the population of rhinos. Kaziranga is infact famous only for Rhinos. It does have other animals too, but the majority of the tourists visit it to see the rhinos only.
The jungle safari starts in the morning at 6 am and continues till 5 pm in the evening with a break during the afternoon for two hours. There are many resorts to have a stay there too and the jungle is divided in 5 parts for the safari.
Each of the division contains a different breed of animals and birds and if u r lucky, u might be able to see a tiger or a lion too. I was lucky just to get an eye on a white elephant, bison and rhinos, no tiger or lions though.
