Once again, it’s got the nation riveting but for a different reason. I mean this show. Yes, the show that once got the maximum viewership in India. No longer! Today, the show is bound to be a Big Fat Flop.
The Old ShowThe KBC 1 & 2 had supreme class, nail-biting suspense and above all a real quizzing spirit. It promised clean, complete, family entertainment. It had the politically correct, polished posh and safe host presenting it.
The New ShowMore of a fast-paced entertainment show rather than a quiz show. The thrill is lost. The suspense is gone. The quizzing spirit is not shared by the viewer. But the show does promise a few chuckles due to unexpected witty remarks from the host. On AmitabhThe only reason why I like Amitabh is that he, like a true winner, keeps going on. He genuinely gives his best even at this age.
But the man is a fake. I believe his ‘Political correctness’ is artificial. He always takes the side of safety. He speaks whatever is expected out of him. It’s his planned humility, well concealed arrogance and overpowering ego that create that aura surrounding him. On SRKOne of the reasons why I like SRK is that he, like a true winner, keeps going on. He genuinely tries to give his best. But this man is real. I believe his ‘Political Incorrectness’ is true. He always takes the side of ‘safe-looking’ risk. He speaks whatever that comes to his mind. It’s his unplanned humility, well expressed arrogance and sine-wave ego that create that aura surrounding him.

PredictionThe intellectual viewers and pseudo-intellectual viewers will watch it only to get irked. They will then have the real proof to thrash SRK and his fans.
SRK fans will watch it to scrutinize their favorite actor. Those who like him for what they perceive as good looks are bound to get bored of the over exposure. Soon, they will wake up to reality and start liking Hrithik. The show and SRK are nearing their doom. For a final word, if you can forget Amitabh, the show is passable for its own merits of making the even the most cynical of audience chuckle occasionally. Hence the four rating! ===
