Its worth to share the experience I had with Kashid Beach over the long weekend starting Good friday.
Its simply amazing to see such a beautiful , clean & natural beach just 2 hrs away from Mumbai. it was Awesome experience to just relax at the beach on the hammock & sipping Nariyal pani with hardly any crowd around you.
Myself together with my wife & 2 yr old son started for Kashid beach on Friday afternoon, because of heavy traffic jam on the way to Alibagh, it took us more than the usual time. Normally you would be able to reach within 2 hrs from navi mumbai by car. exactly 110 KM one way. we reached in the afternoon & searched couple of places for One nigh stays rooms.
We zeroed in on Swapnali tourist home which approx 2 km ahead of Kashid beach. Most of the hotels/resorts were full due to long weekend. The room was OK to sleep in the night ( rest of the time to spend on beach). It cost me 900 , A non-ac room. AC room was costing more than 2500, actually AC room was not at all required. Imagine when you have outside temp of 24 deg , do you still need AC room?
We spend time on beach till it become dark, saw sunset which was really beautiful & worth to experience. By the time we returned to hotel, it was 8.30 pm. we ordered home made food , Chicken with Rice & Roti. Taste was really like home cooked, not much oily & masalas were perfect. Any time better than chicken in restaurents.
Best part was that the Mobile was not working, No tower connectivity so you are litterally by your own.
Morning we woke up & headed directly to beach to enjoy morning time. We did lots of photo shooting of my family & lots of scenery as well. by that time, kiosks started opening, we choose one & relaxed on Hammock drinking tea, nariyal pani & having morning breakfast at the beach. Hardly any crowd at beach it seemed as it it was private beach for us.
White & silver sand, warm water, coconut plants along the beach what else you want from a perfect beach. Water was so clear & clean that you can see the silver sand below the water.
A small part of the beach also contains small rocks , a perfect place to do photo shooting similar to bollywood.
I would definitely recommend to stay one night to enjoy the beach in the morning. I would love to go there again. As the day passed I could see lots of cars/buses around the beach. Seems getting popular to people.
ONLY REQUEST>>>> DO NOT DIRTY THE BEACH.... Do not throw cans/bottles, you would find dustbin near to Kiosks, pls use them.
