Kamat used to be my dad's favorite restautant since my childhood because of two reasons - its pure vegetarian and its clean. My dad used to be a great food lover, cook and reviewer. I happened to visit this place once with him. It still is, as it was a comfortable place to sit due to its subtle interiors of a road side diner. The food is served surprisingly fast and servers are still vintage styled, with a uniform and a kerchief on the shoulder with a small book and pen in hand. Food tastes really good and rich. You would love to know the fact that it is a South Indian restaurant that kept its roots and recipes intact over generations. : )
