Kamal -Actors Dictionary. Review on Kamal Haasan

On November 7, 1954, a boy was born at Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram district. Hardly anybody would have guessed that this handsome little boy would one day conquer the film industry. He doesn’t need an introduction like this.

He is the one and only Kamal Hassan - versatility his right hand, experimentation- his left and perfection his brain.

This man has carved out a niche for himself in the film industry, Indian film industry I should mention and remains as an undisputed actor and role model that any actor in the field would wish to emulate .Tracing his career graph from ‘Kalathur Kannamma’ at the age of four which fetched him the Presidents Gold Medal for best child artiste one can only see his meteoric rise as an actor. Today he has got Padmashree, Kalaimamani Awards, 4 national awards for best actor (‘Mundram Pirai', Pesum Padam (Pushpak), Nayakan and Indian) and state awards from Tamil Nadu government, 17 Filmfare Awards. Who else and what else can one expect more than this? But this man keeps expecting and makes his fans expect in each and every project he does. ‘Ye dil maange more’ is his favorite line.

KAMAL - A Perfectionist

I have read in papers that for the role of a cop in ‘Alavandhan’ (Abhay) he underwent 3 weeks of training from a commando and learnt how to hold the gun, how to walk and the entire body language of a cop.

The pain he withstood for Indian (Hindustani), Avvai shanmughi (Chachi 420) makeups are noteworthy.

Not only has he showed perfection in his acting but also in his direction.’Hey Ram’ was the debut for this director but that would never look like that. Though the movie didn’t do well at the box-office it earned him good name.

He takes immense care in his language too. Be it Sri Lankan Tamil or Madras slang or an orthodox Brahmin language or Coimbatore slang, he familiarizes it quickly for a role and does ne plus ultra.

He also has a strong passion for literature. His stories ‘Thevar magan (Viraasat- which fetched him national award for best story) and ‘Anbe Sivam’ (State award) are few paper trails of his excellence. I should not forget to add the title song of Hey Ram written and sung by Kamal in this list. Mr.Ramdoss and Mr.Thirumavalan...Plz note that Tamil should not live in movie names but in minds and deeds.

Few movies like Guna, Mahanadhi, and Hey Ram can only be done by Kamal in Indian industry. No one else was and is talented and dare enough to take up such ventures.

The comedy series of Kamal will definitely dislocate your jaws. If you keep laughing for the first joke you will miss the second. He maintains such a fluent flow in his dialogues. In his recent ‘Mumbai express‘Kamal had written the dialogues himself and had excelled in that too.

His interest and talent extends to music also. He has sung so many songs but yet to compose .Theres nothing wrong if you expect him to do. It may come like a bolt from the blue.

None else in world has touched perfection in as many fields as this man in cine industry.

Ufff…..what I have mentioned is just the tip of an iceberg. There are lots more in his plate but unserved to us.Lets wait till that.

Kamal –A Human

There were plethora of fans’ club for this thespian but the humanity in him converted all of his fans’ club into welfare clubs to do god deeds. As a limelight he has donated all his body parts and asked his fans to do so.

In a nutshell this man undoubtedly, is the greatest thespian of the century. He is still on his way to achieve more.
