An ordinary base plot, an under-developed story, an impressive cast and good performances, make it a movie, which you can watch once & forget. A movie, which fails to leave any impression on your mind.
The story revolves around 6 Indian men staying in America & earning the rough way or so it seems at first. The base plot is the planning, the execution & the after effects of a bank robbery by these 6 men.
The plus points of the movie are the dialogues with subtle humor, even in tense situations, the ''ishq samandar'' and other numbers with Malaika and Isha Kopikar trying to do justice to their presence in the movie and the remarkable performances by Amitabh, Sanjay Dutt and (last but best) Mahesh Manjarekar.
The flop side of the movie is the story, the story and the story again. It leaves too many unanswered ‘whys’ & ‘hows’ in your mind ...... Why the functioning of a bank (& that a too a bank with accounts of all American cops ) relies on a security system which can be hacked by a software engineer in a matter of seconds !!!! Well if that was possible, then why is this guy not discussing plans with Bill Gates & wasting time planning bank robberies? Why two people come at a time & loiter around at bank during the robbery? Why this game of opening and wearing the masks? How can robbers have the time to laugh & congratulate each other on the steps of a bank they have just looted??? Why create an issue of killing one cop when you have just looted a bank and bombed scores of cops??? How robbers and that too infamous ones roam about free & even visit their homes hours after the robbery??? Why this? How that ..... ? Why did the directory assume that the audience had left all their gray cells at home or switched them off like their cell phones? Why don’t I find this amusing?
All said and done, its an attempt at a different kind of cinema commercial but not typical, so go for it ...... & hope things will get better.
