Hi its me shailesh and today ill be telling you bout the new ktm duke 250. Well it does feels alluring in the starting but after using it for about 6 months I found that all the promise made by ktm are false.
Talking about the figures it cost me 1.95 lakh on road , to be honest for a machine like this it is bit costly. Unlike its older siblings many problems have fixed but major issue still remin the same. The problem which I mostly encounter is starting up. Well it is a comman problem which is yet not got any solution from the makers. Drl does look impressive but at night the headlight do not play their part thus light seems to be little dim.
Milages- For a 250cc the average is only 25kmpl while the company claims it to 35kmpl. Ktm has improved the fel tank capacity to 13.5 liter.
Ergonomic- Seats are on the stiffer side thus long highway rides are not comfortable but city commuting in the just fine. On the other hand the Riding stance of the pillion is still the same but seats are much wider this time.
Road grip and design- No doubt the ktm offer best tires in this bike but still the grip on wet surface is not adequate. Design of the bike some what close to the duke 1290 which is pretty impressive. It is available in 2 colors white and orange .
The verdict-
The bike itself is amazing but with introduction of apache 310 and other bikes like dominor fz etc are much more convenient and value for money which give Pretty close Competition to ktm thus proving average reliability. This bike is costly even after it is manufactured in india.
