Jovan is a light fresh musk that is a long enduring product in the cologne business. It is now made by Coty. However, it remains a solid product and is not overpowering. It has always been my cologne and I don't see myself wearing anything else anytime soon. Jovan is a smooth scent that is not pungent. You can wear it all day any day. After you wear it for a while, you can't even tell you have it on like other colognes, but other people will be able to smell its light scent. Put it on light, I use about two 3 oz. bottles per year.
Some other reviews have said that Jovan does not smell masculine. I have to disagree with this strongly. The original Jovan Musk for Men is a very masculine smell in my opinion. Actually, it is one of the only colognes on the market that is not fruity or floral at all, and one that I can actually stand to wear all day without becoming sick. It actually starts to smell better if you heat up or get wet, it does last all day. And, your clothes will have a light scent as well that won't be overpowering but will be pleasant. I actually like it light or heavy as it doesn't overwhelm.
Don't let the inexpensive price fool you, about$20 for a 3 oz. bottle, this is a very quality scent. I have tried other musks like City Musk, as well as other colognes like Drakkar Noir, Joop, CK One and Gravity, but in my opinion, this is the best. Jovan also has a line of other men's colognes, women's perfumes, body wash, aftershave lotion, deodorant and body sprays for men.
This is the classic Jovan cologne and it remains one of the best colognes on the market I think. I find the scent of the original Jovan to be the superior one. I use it everyday and I have had many compliments on it.
