Oh. yes I am telling you that this hospital is the best Govt Charitable hospital there is. I have been here since 4 -1/2 years and know that so. As opposed to the BMC hospitals where they are now charging for small things like registration, admission and procedures, JJH is a state Govt. sponsored Hospital where pts get near free treatment for all ailments. Even the biggest of surgeries here cost a mere 1k -2k as opposed to Pvt. Hospitals where they might charge you 1 lakh plus. It has the best doctors as honoraries on its staff and even the full time doctors are the best of mumbai. You can do 1 thing to confirm my opinion :- ask your Family doctor about JJH and Grant Medical College. If you are in Bombay, there is a 40% chance he will tell you that he is also from the great institute. Else they will definitely confirm my opinion. This is pre-confirmed by patients coming from all over the country including Assam, Orrisa and U.P. What about a few Nigerians being admitted here too !!Now I guess pts are the ones who decide how good a hospital is. I finally opine that this is among the best and the oldest places in the country.
