After going through a long illness I finally have got a chance to watch a film and also write a review here.ISHQ VISHK is the film I watched and it turned out to be quite decent as opposed to what I had thought.With the standard of hindi films going down with every new release you are forced to like films like ISHQ VISHQ,which are quite a refreshing change from all the rot coming out.
There is nothing new or extraordinary about the story......its pretty much the same like other films,the story revolves around Rajeev(Shahid kapoor),Payal(Amrita rao)who are childhood friends and Payal has feelings for Rajeev but he does not reciprocate to her feelings coz she is the behanji of the college and Rajeev wants to have the hottest babe in the college as his girlfriend and thats where Alisha(Shenaj) enters and Rajeev goes latoo over her and she too falls in love with him.......but later Rajeev realises that Alisha is not the girl for him,and goes back to Payal.
I mainly liked the film for the fresh star cast.......the actors for once looked like college students.SHAHID KAPOOR is very impressive in his debut film,he has acted very confidently,danced well and looked quite cute too.AMRITA RAO.......lookes really pretty,and has potential to be a good actress.SHENAJ THE MTV VJ turned actress........is no great shakes except for the look's department.Satish shah and Nilama Azeem as Shahid's parents are good too and so is YASH TONK as the LOVE GURU,though he does irritate at times.The rest of the starcast is pretty good .
The film also has been treated in a fresh way and the first time director KEN GHOSH has done a good job.Some of the scenes are humurous and the emotional scenes are well shot.The characters are well etched out and quite beleivable too.So overall a good job done.
The dialogues are also a plus.......they are quite witty at times and evoke laughter.They are not your usual melodramatic or boring dialogues......
The biggest letdown of the film is Anu Malik's music.......there are so many songs and sab ek se badhkar ek boring,it looked as if there is a song for each occasion and scene.The only good song is the title one and Wo Ajnabi mere dil ko......and the picturisation of these songs is pretty neat too.
So people if you have nothing better to do and have money to spend on a film do go and watch ISHQ VISHQ.......and I can assure you it is not as bad as the films coming out now-a-days.Atleast I liked it.......and hope you too,if you watch it.
