Fantastic Escapes!!. Review on Intimate Escape

''Inntimate Escapes'' on the Discovery Channel is must-watch television for three reasons: the smart hostess Jennifer Condvi who is also good eye candy, the exotic yet ''untouristy'' resorts in Europe and the narrative itself that flows freely, leaving viewers wanting more.

Although the show's emphasis is on hotels, resorts, lodges and bed & breakfasts in little-known parts of Europe, it takes us on a guided tour of some of the most interesting places. From a local winery in Bordeaux where Jennifer stomps the grapes to make wine, to a glass building workshop in Nice to a traditional fondue-making party on the Alps, it's a fantastic trip for those with wanderlust.

A typical program format runs as follows: Jennifer visits a local area hotel, takes the viewers on a tour of the hotel, talking about the amenities, the food they serve and the services they offer. The beauty of the show is that it doesnt go to well-known places that are milling with tourists like the other travel shows. Instead it brings to us smaller virgin places that have a lot to offer.

The sights and smells (going by the anchor's descriptions, of course!) of the places, the exquisiteness of the locales, the pristine virginity of the destinations make Inntimate Escapes a pure unadulterated flight of fantasy.
