I ordered 20" LED monitor for 6400Rs from Infibeam

Its my first purchase from Infibeam. Earlier I read all the latest reviews of Infibeam but I decided to buy this monitor from them as COD. I am buying and selling things online since 5 years I am a regular customer of eBay. Since the model I wanted is over priced on eBay so I had to look elsewhere. Then I came across Lets buy and Infibeam. I proceed with Infibeam.


ORDERING-SHIPPING


On Feb-24-2012 I ordred AOC E2043FSK 20" LED monitor as COD Order NO: 8661113( I attached images). They called me and verified my address and promised to ship with in 3 days. Of course I knew after reading on mouthshut that they not going to do that. I waited for a week, on 1st Mar they called and said that the item is out of stock. But they said that there is a better version of the same company model is available that is AOC E2050S( on their website they posted the model as E2050FSK and description is same as E2043FSK they need to change it becoz the model E2050FSK not even exist). I searched online about the model and decided to go. Then they took another 3 days to ship the package. Any way I was hoping that it will take another 4-5 days. But surprisingly its landed in just 2 days(I was tracking). They shipped through Bluedart. I thought DHL and Bluedart is expensive, I don't know how much they spent on shipping but its very good. I never received things from Bluedart coz they charge too much. I sent some one to pickup the monitor at the Bluedart office and paid the money of 6400Rs cash.


THE PACKING


The packing is excellent there is almost 4 layers of protection. First they used thermacol and another box then bubble wrap and then plastic cover. The way they packed clearly tells that the kind of care they took. It took us about 18 minutes to remove the moniter from the packing. Finally the moniter is my hands I double checked everything in side, no damage at all. Then I connected and fine working. I will review about this moniter on Mouthshut soon.


THE BAD


U have to wait about 5-7 days just to get it shipped from them. If U aren't patient then U will shout on them. The discription is not good enough of some items. They need to update every week. Since its my first purchase I don't about their after sales support and 30 days replacement policy. COD is only availabe to big cities. They don't have warehouse with products they depending on suppliers, they need to start a warehouse for major items.


THE GOOD:


The prices are competitive. The shipping method is excellent and the packing is awesome. They have wide range of products at very low prices.


Conclusion:


Buying electronic item through online is risky. But sometimes U don't have an option. Just like me. Even after reading bad reviews I still want to buy from them by thinking that bad things won't happen every time. I do recommend them but as COD since the shipping and processing taking too much time. And buy the items only where U have service centers in Ur area. Incase these people won't respond if there is any defect then U can get it to the service center for warranty.


SUGGESTIONS TO COMPANY


!) Don't think some bad reviews on some sites like Mouthshut won't do any damage to Ur reputation. The people who buying things online means they have extensive knowledge and they will definitely search reviews about the item and the portal they want to purchase from. U need to concentrate mostly on the negetavies that people complaining on the net and try to solve their problems so they can edit their posts and improve Ur rating.


2) Remove the Junk: Ur site got lot of items for sale but lot of them are outdated and most people won't buy them. Instead of having old ones, keep only those that can catch buyers sight that means latest and with affordable prices. Less items means less problems. In order to do what customers thinking U need to take surveys.


3) If U feel that when ever a buyer says "item damaged or defected" then U look at him like he is a liar, in that case If U selling constantly items like electronics then make it mandatory to make a video while unboxing and testing at the buyers end. So if there is any defects or damage to the item, U can easily replace with out doubts and treating buyer like ear bugs when he want a replacement.


4) After sales support is vital if U neglect it then U face the same justice just like others who vanished in dust. There is lot of online shopping sites are emerging if U won't keep up with trend and reputation it will be too hard to catch buyers like me to get in to Ur site. Good luck.
