Keeping in view my good relation with one of the Relationship Manager, I intended open a savings account with Indus-ind bank.  I readily agreed to open the account and issued cheque for Rs 1 lakh in shimla branch on 6th and the cheque was presented and cleared on 9th and I received my Activation of Bank Account brochure on 20th ie. today.


That also they said the pin will come in different courier.  And assured to provide me debit card pin within 2 to 3 days.  That means I am likely to get the pin on 23rd.


Resultantly the indus-ind bank took about 14 days to open an account and customer has to wait that many days.  In this era of technology,  even a passport can be  got prepared within a weeks time, opening an account keeping our money that too after 14 days is really disgusting.


I had accounts with icici, sbi, axis, hdfc, obc, karnataka bank- no bank had given me this kind of service/treatment so far.


I am afraid of their service after opening an account.  Think twice before you open an account in this bank, if you are in a hurry dont go for that.
