I booked ticket for Chennai - Kolkata two months prior to my travel as I was travelling to Kolkata for my marriage which is scheduled next day of my travel. I was coming from my office directly to airport. I reached just 40 minutes before the departure and I had no check-in luggage, only a hand baggage. Indigo people did not issue the boarding pass for me just because of 5 mins delay.
I requested to the concerned person several times to give me the boarding pass. He was not listening to me at all. When I asked, tomorrow is my marriage date, please allow me, its very urgent. That guy told to show him my marriage invitation card. When I was going to show that he said now its not possible at all. I got this bitter experience with this airlines. Then I booked a next day ticket through Jet Konnect and I reached Kolkata next day morning.
As it was a bengali marriage, few things we could not complete because of time shortage. Now I have decided not to travel with Indigo even if they are offering free tickets.
