I have travelled by all SO CALLED Low cost airlines. Now what is low cost here. Fare 2500 to 3000/- as taxes have to be paid. is it low cost? Food for 4 pieces of bread you pay rs. 150/-, you are not served with water untill you beg for it . You get 50 ml of water later on reqeust. You try to sell things which are cheaply available in the market. Yoy are pushed into the bus a hour before to maintain punctuality . You wait at the aircrft gate for the handover to complete. Only nice thing about Indigo IS THE NICELY DRESSED ATTENDENTS. Always confusion about seatings(double /duplicate seat nos).
None of ordinary Indian travels in these so called low cost airlines. These airline companies seems to bleeding as they say in public. If so why don't charge another rs. 500/- and provide good service for the money paid. Indian man on the street will not use airlines as we have limited airports, cost of moving in and out of airports to the city is very high. He would prefer the train or bus . If he is capable of or in need of using airine, he is willing to shell out the extra for the service.
hence my suggestion is let the AIRLINES NOT BLEED .( I know they are making money else lot of them could have closed by now). Provide service for the passenger and shed your tag just for the sake of branding.
Capt. Gopinath. Your idea will work if every town/ big district has a airport, and that is not feasible in country like India. You have experienced it and understood the same. Why thrust it on the REAL TRAVELLER . FOR GOD's sake close the cheap airlines
