Check-in Counter: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
I was flying to Ahmedabad with 2 small sized carry on luggage- one was 15kg and the other one was 10kg. Because mine was a "lite" fare ticket, I paid additional Rs.200 for the 15kg bag. However, I was made to pay Rs.2000 on top of that for my 10kg carry on bag(because I already had a personal item - laptop bag). I am fully aware of their policies and that all of this falls under the policy however, the ground staff made no effort to help me optimize the cost to minimize it with suggestions such as transferring luggage to reduce the 10kg fees to 5kgs, etc.(unlike SpiceJet or every other airline I have used).
On top of that, two staff members emotionally harassed me by smiling and smirking about it all the time. I was made to feel extremely vulnerable in this situation. Also, the fare policies are extremely unfair towards the consumer. As a consumer, from my perspective, I was made to pay Rs200 for 15kg and Rs.2000 for 10kg! And the worst part is that I had called them the previous day to let them know of my baggage details, and they did not say anything at that time.
This is preposterous and robbing the consumers of their rights.
Flight Attendants: GOOD SERVICE!
They were prompt and quite courteous but I didn't avail any of their in-flight services.
GOOD SEATING SPACE. It was neat and smelled clean and nice.
FLIGHT took off and landed on time.
Overall, if other options are available, don't pick Indigo. If you have no choice, be extremely careful of their baggage policies. Their goal is to make more money out of panicked and vulnerable customers.
