Hello !I took IndiGo 6E 178 from Mumbai to Delhi on 16th December 2010. It was my onward flight on a trip to Delhi with my Grandparents. This was in fact my first IndiGo experience.
I was hearing about their on time performance. They are seriously very very on time. Mumbai is sort of congested airport. Still they try to check in faster. Scheduled departure was 9:30 AM. We reached at airport at 8:10 AM and checked in.
We had some food in departure lounge after passing through security check. They started boarding at 9:15 and took us to plane in a bus. At 9:30 we were ready on board, door closed and pre-take off formalities going on. We were in the air by 9:40. In flight service is very good.
We enjoyed Fruit Cake and juices. It was Airbus A320. I observed that A320 makes much more noise during take off when engines are at full power. Later its normal. Thanks to tale winds and good weather ! We had no turbulence. We reached Delhi 15 minutes earlier.
We were at arrival launch with bags at 11:40, exact scheduled arrival. The best thing with IndiGo is always on time. That seriously matters. We were able to continue our journey to Haridwar by cab on time!
As it is popular airline, you need to book at early, at least 2 months before to grab lowest fair. Especially on Mumbai- Delhi busy route. My first preference for any journey next would be IndiGo!
