Overview: I found this to be a good concept as an Indian answer to the delicious chinese deliveries you get everywhere in the world.
This is a Pune based place which delivers all over Pune except for outlying areas such as Hinjewadi, etc (as told by the outlet manager). You can order over their website: https://indianinabox.com or call center 020 26611800 I did not order from the call center but actually dined in, so I wont be able to rate on their delivery time or service, but I will review it for the dine-in experience.
Location:The outlet I visited was located opposite Bharati Vidya Bhavan school off Senapati Bapat Road.
Ambience:
Well,
there are granite benches and tables for dine in folk to sit on, so
nothing fancy, a bit canteen like. But overall the place was clean and
welcoming.
Cuisine:
They serve Indian and Indo-Chinese food.
Choice in Food:
They
serve Starters, Maincourse and Combos in both cuisine types. Standard
Soft drinks are also served under Beverages. I guess the restaurant
menu and the call center menu are slightly different, but dont exactly
know which is the restricted one. But you can let the call center know
you want to order from the restaurant menu.(again, so said the manager)
Taste:
I
had the Manchurian Combo, which offered a Veg Manchurian Gravy, Veg
Spring Rolls(restaurant menu), a drink (a Maaza Polypack), and a choice
between Steamed rice, Veg Fried Rice or Veg Hakka Noodles.
I would
rate the taste as very good especially of the gravy. It wasnt lumps of
cornflour I was eating but authentic sauce and nice tasting veg
manchurian balls. As for the spring rolls, they were a tad oily, but
otherwise tasty. The fried rice was decent too. But what made the food
attractive was that you could feel the freshness of the food with every
morsel.
My friend had the Tandoori Chicken Box, and the chicken was quite delicious.
Price:
Small figures in terms of rupees. Everything falls in the range of Rs60 to Rs130.
The Manchurian Combo I had cost only Rs99, and a half Tandoori chicken
cost Rs89. But then in terms of quantity, these are small quantities
and I wish there was more gravy to suffice the rice.
Service:
Service
was very prompt and they were a smiling lot, so overall the experience
was not bad at all. The staff is well dressed in clean and smart
outfits giving it a professional look.
Overall Experience:
A good choice if you re looking for FRESH food in a jiffy, but wouldnt go out of my way to eat here.
