While the practice of allopathic medicine is western in origin, you can bet that in the emergency department of Inamdar Hospital you will find not MBBS doctors but 'doctors' who are trained in ayurvedic and unani ( yeah what the hell is that exactly). Now a department that prides itself on quickness and expertise should have skilled people who have an ethical dimension to their functioning, or maybe that's the way that we think but you sure as hell do not get that at Inamdar Hospital. Their department is underskilled and in the unlikely event of an emergency you would not like to find yourself in the hands of a quack.
I was unprivileged enough to have worked at Inamdar for a short stint. I am a doctor, and a mighty fine one if I shall say so myself. You should gauge that for yourself from the content of this short anecdote ? I was asked to leave and I was told that I would be paid for the services that I had offered them. Subsequently, surprise surprise, I was not and I don't think that I will be paid also. The reason being misbehavior, on what grounds I have no clue. They were not decent enough to even tell me. There is an arrogant punk who seems to be in charge of HR. His name is Mr. Ali Khan. He has a level of integrity completely in sync with the alleged ethics of Inamdar hospital.
The owner or chairman. Dr. Pervez Inamdar is a conceited individual who doesn't know how to speak to his sub ordinates. Guess there are people who think that money can buy all. My point as to why I am agitated ? I shall tell you. I worked there, well and swell for a period of time. No contract nothing was given to me. At least when I had the decency to resign without making an issue for wrongful termination of employment then I believe that I must receive my wages. An organization that attempts to exploit the inherent goodness of an individual will fail as a hospital which claims world class ethics and a decent morality set.
The hospital is no two hoots also. The general ward is a cornucopia of infestation with all beds in a big hotch potch. I mean imagine that there will be a woman who has just delivered lying on one bed, another man who has a knee replacement lying on another, a terminally ill patient being given supportive care on another, a child on another, a diabetic thrown somewhere in the middle.. . Is this by any standard of care what western medicine has imbued in Inamdar Hospital.
This is rather a scathing report, but please do remember that I am a doctor, I have seen many things. I speak with experience. And one thing I can say for sure, if you value your life, then desist from ever going there, go elsewhere. Go anywhere. BUT NEVER TO INAMDAR.
