Well, as usual when I looked for reviews, all are complaining only.
I bought this a week ago. I used dishwasher in USA for lot of years and has been planning to buy one in India. My neighbors took IFB dishwasher 8 months ago, since then I have been closely observing it and am impressed with its performance and convinced to buy it finally.
I bought this in Reliance Digital. Price 29, 520. Accessories(stabilizer, stand, cover, detergent for 6months) cost another 6 thousand. All are IFB brand.
Ours is a small family, still I use it everyday. In USA, I used to wait until its full and then only turn it on. There it uses up a whole tank of hot water, which costs quite a bit of power. But here in India, it consumes less water, less power. The wash quality is superb, just like in USA. Also sound is very low, compared to US.
I have the habit of rinsing the plates, immediately after we are done eating. After I wash it lightly, I load it in DW. In India, who have the habit of maid, find this'lightly cleaning' part tough. Because they have the habit of throwing the pots or plates in the sink without doing anything. But I think, its real simple. Putting some water or lightly cleaning the dishes, is not a big deal. But if you think, this is a big work, then DONT buy the dishwasher, you will never use it.
I am very pleased with the wash quality. I always choose'Express wash', Which takes about 55 mins. There are 6 other options also for different kinds of wash. For me dealing with DW is easy than dealing with a maid servant. Now I dont have the need to rewash the plates(when they are washed by maid, I used to clean all dishes again), they are very clean, shiny, germ-free.
I hesitated a lot to buy a DW in India as I heard they are a flop in India. But its not true. For 8 months, my neighbours did not have any complaints and it works perfectly for their big family.
Only down side is, I did not find specific place for steel plates, in which Indians usually take their food. But I can fit them anywhere, that's no problem. I put all kinds of dishes in DW in the last week. We have to be creative and fit them in. I expected a specific place because these are made according to Indian needs. But that's not a big issue.
I highly recommend it. If there are any problems, I will update this post with those details. Please write reviews with your own experiences.
