I was looking for 1 tonne Inverter A.C, after reading extensively about its energy saving potential( It says more than 67% saving over conventional AC so 2000 AC bill show drop to 800Rs which is significant and help me recover the extra 8000 you are paying in 1 to year itself). I narrowed down to sharp but somehow Sharp was offering me the product in aluminium coils and was not available at the dealer I approached. I searched for retailers on JUSTDIAL(look for small retailers) and called them and asked for the best price( best way to get the lowest price, online prices were much higher) I found out about IFB through one of the approached showroom dealer and then searched about it on the net and was impressed about the gold fin technology and the energy saving features along with air purification technology which no one was offering at this price. The dealer demonstrated me the goldfin technology. I bought the AC through IFB point in delhi(dealer name hidden). They offered me a good deal by offering me the ac at 37300 with mrp 42300 so I ordered the product and made full payment. There was a delay of one week before my AC was delivered. About installation they took 1 week for installation of product so in total 2 week delay after making full payment. I kept asking about extention of warranty, they havent given me any details till now. So I have a litt
Now the product is good, sound is bare minimum. I have attached the pictures. I have used it for two days, till now it seems fine, the outdoor unit hardly makes noise. The outdoor unit is just 27 kg, indicating that effort has been put in to make it light, the front grill, fan all are made of plastic in the outdoor unit. The refrigerant is R410A which is the ozone friendly similar to features in sharp but with copper coils since 410A is a heavy refrigerant it requires a thick and durable copper than aluminum for leak proof long run. The sleep mode is a feature which lets machine consume very less energy and keeps room cool I chose the brand after reading about the features specially energy efficiency and comparing extensively with other japanese AC brand and knowing its an Indian brand. I already have a washing machine of IFB so I trust the brand.
I would like to extend the warranty or have a AMC with company but no response as yet. For buyer I must say IFB advertises little but their products are as good as Sharp and quality is evident. Your money is well spent on technology they provide in the machine rather than advertising. Hope the machine lasts long and doesnt disappoint me. Inverter technology is the future. Waiting for this months's AC bill. One more experience I would like to share is buying from small retailer instead of big ones. They give a much better deal(no online site was offering the product at less than 39000), your warranty is ensured by buying from offline stores, also you support these retailers who would otherwise be crushed by online onslaught, get a live demonstration( sharp doesnt offer warranty from snapdeal brought products).
This month monthly bill was Rs 2700 with Ac and without Ac it was Rs 800 with a average use of 14 honours with 50% use in sleep mode so effective Rs 1.5 per hour with avg cost of electricity at Rs 5 per unit. The AC is showing E9 error and P0 error within 45 days of use and outdoor unit is non functioning.the company has refused service support citing that u didn't get it installed from us. Where the hell it is written or told by their so called authorized dealers that only IFB technician will install it and if they know it why haven't they told us and instead there was delay of 1 week in installation.poor secice support. Extremely disappointed
