I am customer of ICICI direct for the last 2 years and have a decent portfolio. I was contacted by a Relationship manager and offered free advice on investment. Based on their advice , I started an equity SIP and also bought some G-Sec bonds.
They promised me that every quarter they would send me reports on my portfolio analysis. One fine day the Relationship manager turned up and asked me to invest in a Reliance Gold plan and stop the one he had recommended before. It turned out that the guy has joined Reliance and did not inform me.
In addition I was called by a new Manager of ICICI direct who had no idea of my previous relationship manager.
When they change manager, shouldn't ICICI direct inform their clients at least via an email. Their only objective is to sell some horrible policies to the investor. The new relationship manager was totally in dark of what was recommended to me earlier. I have not yet received any analysis report and all my investments are in loss.
Never fall in the trap of their relationship manager like I did. Ignore them and avoid singing any policies. Avoid their wealth management services or burn your hands like I did!
