I have demat and trading account in ICICI bank securities since almost 2 years. What I observed is they charge more brokerage charges because of this most of the profit will go away in brokerage charges only. They charge more brokerage for margin or day trading and even cash brokerage is also not less. I feel this ICICI bank securities is very much secured and its safe trade with this as this is a reputed bank with good history. This is the only reason I still have my trading account in this bank. They will take only two to three days to open trading account and they will give initial guidance also on how to use the account. They will provide user name and password(Which we have to change while logging in first time) to trade using ICICI DIRECT portal.
Portal is user friendly and look and feel of the portal is awesome. I never saw till now any bugs in this portal. It has all the features to trade. We can see list of IPO's available in market at present with all the details and we can also see our investment using portfolio tracker, Profit and loss tracker and annual returns tracker. They also provide the list of good stocks which we can buy for the time frame of one week, one month or two to three months of time frame and they will also attach research and analysis document for each of the stock which they recommended and till now I never faced any fraud issues in this account all my transactions are hundred percent perfect with correct data.
In Icicidirect portal we can also see recommendations and 70 to 80 percent it works and we can see the recommendations for daily pick, weekly picks, short term and long term picks. They will also recommend good stocks for futures and options trading. we can see our gains using portfolio tracker and its very nice.
You can update our profile details like phone number, email id but we cannot update our address in this portal for that we need to submit one form to change our address.
I hope anyone can choose this trading account without any concerns except brokerage charges as this is the most important concern most of the investors will look into and hence most of the investors will not choose this trading account to invest their money. I am also looking for some good broker and as soon I find any I will switch into that. If anybody have any suggestions on any good brokers please share your comment.
