- Individual who identified herself as Ms Noor Sheikh called up on july 8 2022.
She promised over call that the existing policy will be renewed for SI of 10 L EACH for my husband MrThomas (DOB 24 Oct 1958) and myself Sheila
She insisted on payment and then only will i get the soft copy within 24 hrs
I paid the amount of INR 24531 through my HDFC credit card at 18:44 on July 8 2022 on her insistence
Later i get a mail from Altamash Khan on July 14 ..her manager that the SI is only 10L for both of us together...( For both myself and my husband) To which I protested as this was not the commitment made when i paid for the policy
Please note that even then.. they have not provided the soft copy policy
Now i raised a cancellation ticket (on July14) of the policy with immediate effect and have made numerous calls to refund the amount that was paid
This was the acknowledgement
Acknowledgement: We acknowledge receipt of your request forCancellationagainst Health Policy No. Q2149925 and have registered it under Service Request No. 72022071405240. Be rest assured, the same will be addressed by 26-Jul-22 03:38 PM. Team ICICI Lombard
Despite numerous calls and promises that the money would be refunded... It was not done
Now another person called Mariam called up on July 28 2022 and kept insisting that i take the renewed policy to which i refused and told her to cancel and refund the money... But she kept twisting the conversation about giving me the renewed policy withing two hours... Again this was not agreed upon I again insisted for cancellation and refund with immediate effect
Today on July 31 I get a mail in my mailbox sheila2425@yahoo.com that my policy has been renewed which was not agreed upon despite insisting on cancellation
To my horror on viewing the policy document that they mailed....
The policy was in my name alone and they that put my husbands name as nominee with the relationship to me as SON and put the policy only in my name without even adding my husband in the policy
Till date of this time of the review on mouthshut.com....I have not received any compensation or the refund of the cancelled policy
