Hi all: I am an Insurance Consultant for long years and I have dealt & deal with all companies. Overall it seems to have grabbed a lot of market due to their name but one may never know when they will suddenly change their company policies. In the beginning they had insured a lot of people but then closed their portfolio for a big period of time leaving the customers to no where. Their medical/health insurance matters have been seen to change many times in a single year. They have withdrawn many good facilities in Health Insurance and have also started to take tests in a complicated fashion. Even other policies are stopped or change quite often. Employees also have said that they are often put to different works all of a sudden. Everything they have in an online format. Generally they do not have paper covernotes for cars and if ever they issue, it is online, which means stay in anxiety till the representative comes back to give it or you may can left without any document also, while on the other side you have paid the premium. If given by cash then you always have the chance to get fooled. If online policies are issued there is no guarantee that original policy will ever reach you as I have heard from umpteen number of ICICI customers about it. One thing, through its brand name, it has captured a lot of market but one has to always be alert of when the company might change its motives towards their different portfolios. Overseas travel insurance is one of the cheapest with the one the maximum facilities but that also has changed a lot many times. With their credit card one can pay the their premium in instalments.
