Happened to approach ICICI home finance guys of KPHB branch (Opp. to JNTU) for a home loan. We got so frustrated with these guys that I would say, Go for ICICI when you are bored with smooth life and want some problems in life. Here are the issues we faced.
1) They promised less than 10k processing fee when approached, but after the loan is approved and on the verge of releasing the money, they said, it has been doubled and only if we pay that much, they will release the loan.
2) They promised us that whole process will not take more than one week, and it took just 'TWO MONTHS'.
3) They promised us we will just have to fill the forms once and don't have to approach them again and again. But every two days they came back to us to sign a new form. Here are the details.
a) First they said, Co-applicant is not needed. Then later, they said, No its needed, so please fill a new form.
b) First they said, any bank cheque is ok for processing fee, took the cheque. Later they said, No only salary account cheque is allowed and asked for another cheque. Height of frustration came, when asked us to get a DD for the amount instead of a cheque.
c) First they said, the term of loan that we asked for is ok but later they said, their bosses are not approving that term and changed it as they wished.
d) They un-nessessarily asked for salary documents of both applicant and co-applicnat (making us run). But finally we came to know that applicant's salary was enough for the approving the loan ammount that we asked for.
e) They just asked us to sign the empty forms and filled all wrong details in it and we had to correct them later.
f) Initially they said, ICICI lambard insurance is optional, but after we gave the processing fee, then they started pushing for us to take it.
4) They (atleast some people) were very rude at lot of times and were saying, if you want you take or else dont take, at a stage where we will loose our processing fee if we dont take the loan.
Let me write the names of the people in KPHB ICICI home loan branch we dealt with. Mr.Sajivi (Sales Manager) and His assistant Mr. Ramana, Mr.Rohit datta (Credit manager).
Guys, enough of frustration for us. Please dont approach these guys for any home loan.
