I have a current account in Trivandrum Branch in Kerala. I was having healthy transactions for nearly an year with them. I had a dispute with a staff which lead to a legal issue.
The branch manager teamed up with the other party and helped them to freeze my account. I managed to get a temporary injunction from the court to unfreeze my account.
The bank's legal cell not only argued against my request but also helped the advocate of the opposing party with vital information, so that they can hold lakhs rupees within them. This case was going on since 2004.
Lately, I got a court decree favoring me.. that is to permit operation of the account and release the held amount. I have personally served the court order.. they told me they will do the needful after consulting their legal cell.
After a couple of weeks, they got back to me stating that, there is a revision petition pending before the court, filed by the opposition so they can't release the amount. Then I came to know they were buying time to intimate the other party about our plans of action and advised them to go to court again with the revision petition.. can you believe this???
It's a matter of over 7 lakhs ... I kept in a fixed deposit with this branch which unfortunately linked with the current account.. they are doing everything possible to keep the money in dispute so that they can hold the amount with themselves...I am completely at loss... not sure what to do.. they are real crooks.. cheats.. if we can't trust our banks, how can we run our business??Whoever read this, may kindly stay away from this bank... also advice your friends, and those whom you know to pull out every penny they have from this bank...Nationalized bands are safer.... they may be slow and conventional.. but your money is safe...
