I will simply copy the mail that I mailed to icici bank manager, rest you people decide. This is to bring your notice that your telephone service is really really pathetic.I am an old customer (soon “was”) of icici bank. I have a personal saving account for more that 5 years, I was
a good customer, I have a Credit card relation with more then 4 years , I paid
all my bill on time.I have a demat account; I never missed any payment from my side
to icici bank.
All I wanted was to redeem my reward points for “Miniature Cricket Bat & Ball” Item code SR1601. This item doesn’t appear on Express reward system on icicibank.com. You IVR system is designed to keep people on “waiting” for
ever, so that the will hang up the phone. Cheap cost cutting measure I think.

I was played by IVR for more than 22 min in first call, 18 min in second call and record 31 min in 3rd call. 16 min on forth call and I don’t remember I think 20 + min on last call. Not even a single time I was able to
talk to a human being, and IVR software is also corrupt, the state machine is buggy after 10 or more key selections. All this calls were made in different time of day (Between 9 AM to 7 PM) to beat the rush hours. But the result was same , that means that you don’t have enough call center people even for happy hours.
After this humiliating response, I am forced to close all myaccounts with Icici which includes bank account, demat account Credit card account.I swear that I will spread this behavior of icici to all consumer forums on Internet and to my E-mail network, ** This true experience of Icici Phone banking “Word of mouth” will help me closing at least 50 accounts
by the end of 2007.*
I know you Response will be typical robotic one , first you
will say we are sorry for your inconvenience our system s correct and perfect (come on I am in software testing and know all about bugs )pls try again ( ??? Do I look stupid to call again on Icici Phone number again )
