Harrasment by ICICI Bank Collections Agents. Review on ICICI Bank

I will never recommend anybody to go to this bank for any thing.

I have two Home loans with ICICI Bank and I have been suffering since day one.  the hidden costs and charges will screw you like anything.

In Nov last month I submitted 24 PDC's for both of my loan accounts and the cheques were in favor of ICICI HFC Ltd. their guys collected these cheques from me and after a month later when I checked that my EMI is not presented I called them and they told me that they dont have my cheques then I made few calls and finally came to know that the cheques should be in the name of ICICI Bank Ltd I said no issues send the cheques back and I will correct them.

This took almost I month to resolve. the EMI for the month was presented.

A month later I got 4 letters from ICICI collections saying they havent recvd my cheques they also called my home land line and threatened my parents. I called their call center and gave them details of the reciepts.

And after this they presented my JAN months EMI on 1/2/2008 and FEB months EMI was presented on 7/2/2008.

Now on 15/2/2008 I recvd a call again saying that they have not recvd my JAN EMI, I told thrm to fix a meeting with a senior official at ICICI Bank but they refused as they are a collection Agency appointed by ICICI Bank.

I need help, if any one of you know whom should I contact or how should I proceed with a legel case against ICICI Bank. I am also consulting my lawyers for the same.

In Nov 2007 I gave 24 post dated cheques to your Bank and they returned them back saying that the cheques should be favoring ICICI Bank Ltd and not ICICI HFC Ltd, I followed up and finally got the cheques back, corrected the cheques and gave them back. in-between this process I had to deal with many collection agents and I don’t know how many calls on my land line and very few on my cell phone,

One month later the same story, I recvd four letters from ICICI Bank saying that they don’t have my PDCs. and also some calls on my land line.

The details of the cheques collected from me is as mentioned below.

Receipt # 20029992 / Cheque # 426565 for INR 1182 / already debited to my bank.

Receipt # 20029993 / Cheque # 426566 for INR 4032 / already debited to my bank.

Receipt # 20029994 / 13 Cheques for INR 2118 each / one of these cheques is already debited to my bank.

Receipt # 20029995 / 13 Cheques for INR 7389 each / one of these cheques is already debited to my bank.

What is wrong with your bank, why do you guys understand and take actions once something happens............are you waiting for some more suicides.

Waive all the extra charges and late fee charges on both the accounts at the earliest and let me know the status of my cheques.
