I might sound a bit harsh but this is my experience with ICICI Bank. The service is good only as long as we want to open a new account with the Bank. But once that is done, you have to make hundreds of calls, talk to different executives at the call center, repeat your problem over a dozen times, and after an exhausting month of all this, chances are that your problem still remains unsolved.
I have been banking with ICICI bank for the last 3 years, and the service levels have dropped drastically. There is just no concern for the customers. In 8 years of active banking experience, ICICI is the only bank which has debited the same cheque twice and that too on different dates. The worst part is that it took them 40 days to reverse the entry!!! I could go on and on and on with such anecdotes of bad service from the bank. My advice to anyone looking at ICICI bank is - Go to a decent public sector bank . SBI would be my choice. Agreed that service levels are not good and you would have to make a few more trips to the bank than usual, but it is a lot better than having to repent later.
