Pros:
There is nothing exceptionally great about their cards. I took it around 7 years back in my first job because they were giving it for free and charging no annual fee. Now a days I mostly use other free cards.
Cons:
Interest rate Charging:
I generally pay well in advance. They make you pay interest charges even if you have paid 98% of dues and if by mistake you forget to pay rest 2%. I didn't notice it until this month and have been paying interest added by them with out noticing as I generally dont use this card much. This month my wife used it buying laptop worth 47K and we made other expenses worth 4.595 K. So total outstanding was INR 51, 595. For some reasons I thought my outstanding was INR 51, 300/- so I paid it well in advance but in next month statement I came to know that they added > INR 1700 as interest for INR 295 which I mistakenly didnt pay. the reason they gave was that I made part payment.
Customer Care
I called and emailed to their customer care and they only have one response . make payment or else we would add further more charges in next months statement .
Rewards Redemption
They automatically erase my rewards points after 2-3 months and say that I have redeemed it. I dont know if they have accumulated it somewhere or it has got cancelled but I have only redeemed it once in 7 years and rest of the time they cancelled it.
So my advice is "beware when you sign-up for ICICI Credit Card" & " beware when you use this card " they are only waiting for your one mistake and to make them richer .
