Hello All, I am Ajaya from Bangalore. I bought my i20 CRDI(Diesel) Sportz on Aug 2011 its been more than an year and I have clocked 17k !. So far its been very nice time with my car. The first thing I liked about i20 is its Light steering, gear and clutch it makes driving very smooth.
The Exterior build is comparable to polo but not as strong as Skoda fabia But for Citi driving its far better than toyota etios. Initially I didn't know about Antiglare feature in rear view mirror which is really a cool and works fine at night driving. While drving the car the Turbo is really makes you to feel the power of i20 which you won't see in petrol version :D. Steering mounted controls is an another good feature to have which makes easy for me to receive calls while driving and changing the Music track and also switching b/w FM.CD, USB & AUX which is really awesome feature :) Regarding the Interiors it really gives the premium look once you sit inside. I just fell in love the interiors first when I went for Test drive. I was not happy with Etios and Swift interiors :(.
I liked the polo interiors but it was not spacious as i20 otherwise I would have gone for it. the default music system is really good compared to other brand cars !! but now a days most of the people will change the Audio system so this is not a deciding factor for choosing a car I believe. After the 2 service I am getting a mileage of 17km/Ltr Bangalore citi driving with A/C. and I am getting 21km/Ltr on highways. I went to Mangalore, Mysore, Ooty, Tumkur, shimoga etc.. I had a great driving experience with my i20. Car is very well stable on high speeds and comfortable to drive.
Automatic Foldable Mirror is really helpfull feature which initially I just thought it will not be useful. but in a city like bangalore where all 2wheels will attack you from left & right during the signal halt so there are many chances they will just hit your mirrors and run away. If you are driving alone and at tight and narrow road where you have to fold both the mirrors manually then you will realize the importance of this Feature :).
Regarding the Service 1st and 2nd service it was less expensive and the service was really good. there are times when my car got puntured(almost) and Hyundai service team came to my place and picked up the car and fixed it with no extra charges. These kind of service is what making them a Good choice compared to Maruti.
Anyways overall it was a Pleasant experience with my Diesel car so far and after driving my car my cousin & uncle has also bought the same CRDI Sportz model !!! now we have 3 i20 in our family :D
