This is REPEAT REVIEW WHICH WAS ALREADY POSTED under Hyundai i10 Magna, just want to spread the message of how Hyundai is cheating Indians.....
Dear Friends,
My brother bought i20 sept last year, the experience was horrible since the day 1 of decision to buy i20,
1> V3 Hyundai dealer was ready to fall on feet until he received the booking
amount (15Aug2010)
2> The car was promised delivery within 3days, the salesman refused to even entertain us, he went on to say ’why so urgent sir’ , ’pay 50% money within 6 hours to get delivery tomorrow’’
3> Angered by the behavior, we complained to Hyundai, there was hardly any change in their attitude.
4> Finally, one manager calls after 3 days and promises delivery within days, but no sure date !
5> After a long wait we got the car, my brother has made several dozen calls by now.
6> The staff behaved rudely when we went for delivery, they had poured only 1.5 lt petrol and asked us to re-fuel at the next petrol bunk.
7> Next day, the car is not starting, Hyundai rushed immediately and sorted out issue in 2 hours, we were totally UN-impressed by the car’s pulling power with AC on.
8> Brother got very bad mileage of 8kmpl, but were promised 13-15kmpl in Chennai traffic.
9> After Ist service body vibrations increased, pulling power reduced further.
10>Paint on the rear side (near bumper) was peeling, mileage is only 7kmpl in Chennai, they blame it on my brother’s driving style, My brother got fed up and filed case in consumer court on 28th DEC2010.
11> HYundai responded immediately and convinced to rectify all issues, they offered replacement car till the car is repaired, my brother used it for 2weeks, My brother withdrew the case, rectified car was handed back on 22Jan 2011.
12> The car is OK, no much difference, AC effect has reduced,
13> Overall my brother is very UNHAPPY, he has decided to sell it and earn sin.
I got information that there are tons of complaints on Hyundai cars through out the country, one of my friend’s friend working for KUN Hyundai has revealed it to me last week. He told that complaints are increasing even though sales are not great. He also said Hyundaii cars rust faster in coastal areas compared to any other car. santro sheet metal may be rusted within 4years in coastal areas compared to Maruthi which may last as twice compared to Hyundai
There are other serious issues, some dealers are overhauling engines at 30-45K kms, some dealers are changing connecting rod (actually BILLING no replacement, Hyundai knows this and is keeing quite). They are also saying crank-shaft failure and charge whole 45K on some bigger models.
ONE MORE COMMON COMPLAINT IS THAT HYUNDAI CARS GIVES VERY BAD FUEL EFFICIENCY
So be careful, avoid Hyundai who is cheating than giving poor quality product.
