HYUNDAI A SAD STORY .

I Purchased a Getz GLS on 1.3 in the first week o f feb. 2009. The getz has always been my favourite car as I have seen the performance except for the mileage it gives.


On the 3rd of Feb the sales rep from the show room came to my house and I after his recommendation booked the dynasty red. Infact the sales rep confirmed that the color was available and the car would be delivered in the last week on Feb.


After 3 week I get a call from the dealer that the dynasty red coulour in getz was discontinued. I felt cheated and was very disappointed but as I like the car decided to go in with another color. The sales rep from the dealer told me that he would place the order for the new color and would get back to me in a day or two. A week past but no call.


Finally I lost all my patience and called up the Hyundai regional office in Mumbai and spoke to a girl named Janet who promised me that she would look into the matter and give me a call in two hours. Two days passed but no call. I than called up Janet from HMIL and asked her about the status and why she did not call me back within the promised two hours. Her answer was quick "I just completely forgot" and that she could not give me any information as her manager Mr. Deepak Raina was out of town.


UN professionalism at its best. It looked like HMIL rep did not care for its customers. I have lived in the US for a couple of years and know the type of service Hyundai motors provides over there. Since Janet could not help me. I called up MR. DEEPAK RAINA, Manager regional and asked him "if her were to resign than would HMIL not operate in the western region and why do I have to wait for him to be back in the office to get a status on my order .


I even asked him if I would have gotten the same service if I were to be in the US. Swift was the Answer "THIS IS NOT US. THIS IS INDIA" how can managers representing companies earning their bread and butter speak like this. Finally I spoke to MR. LEE VP. Sales Western region that is a south Korean and told him about my problem. He called me back and assured me that the issue will be sorted out and quickly. The car was delivery as per the commitment given by MR. LEE. But what surprises me is that how can manager like Mr. Deepak raina speak like this. HMIL should train their seniors not to make racist remarks like that.
