Undoubtedly the best in its class!!. Review on Hyundai Accent

Selection:

the things that I kept in mind b4 goin 4 a car in the c segment were:

1.cost

2.power n performance

3.looks

4.after sale service n dealership

5.comfort

these r listed in order of pref.

i surveyed all the cars in this segment such as accent,ikon,indigo,city,corsa n indigo but undoubtedly accent was a class apart as it struck a complete balance between looks performance n al other aspects.

i bought an accent gle (petrol)which is the base model but the features offered in it are easily comparabale to the next model of ny other car in its class...there is very little diff betwwen the base model n the upper model.now let me explain its advantages n disadvantages over other vehicles in its class...here goes

advantages:

1. the base model priced at 5.75 lac is definitely a steal compared to other cars which r either priced little higher or they r around the same range offering lesser features.plus u can get a good bargain if u ush the dealer a little...hell put in a few cheep accessories n also give u a price discount of around 10k rupees.n if u add an mp3 player or other acc. then there will be a little discount there also...so in all..if ur good at negotiatin then ull be left wid de best bargain!!

2.the engine of this car is unbelievable...the 92 bhp(100+ for the higher model) packs lotta punch in the pikup if ur good with shifting the gears...n it goes to a topd speed of 145kmph easily due to its 1500 cc(1600 for nxt model) engine ..probably more if u put it to test...so as 4 performance..may not be as sporty as the ikon but definitely commendable.

3.beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder but when it comes to the accent..it definitely looks most elegant in its class giving it a ''big look'' n also since its broad..it feels royale.the ikon,indigo etc r no comparison in terms of looks.the old city was good..but the new one looks too much like indigo..which I personally feel looks like indica wid a bigger dikki!!the interiors are awesommmeee..theyre not the usual dull grey like in other cars...they r beige n they looks lovely..even the seats n the dashboard looks fabulous..n all this in the base model itself.the car is at a lower height which gives it a slight sports car feel..(though the ground clearance is very good)

4.since hyundai is only nxt to maruti in terms of production..they have an outlet almost everywhere the service is gr8..in fiat n ford..the salesman r sweet till u buy the car but laterrr they treat u like dirt n wudn even talk to u properly.this car has 2 yr warranty n the free servicing does not depend on the mileage..thats the best part...the spares also 4 not too xpensive n overall everythin pretty economical!!

5.the comfort is gr88...when in the drivers seat.the ''feel on the wheel'' is just awesome.the tilted steering n the flashy dials n the visbility till the bonnet make u wana revvv up the engine.the space behind though is not too much..the indigo seems more spacious..but accent is better than all de oder cars in terms of space.the dikki can accomodate 2 small children..really huge.

6.overall..the cost,mileage,looks,power n feel of the car r gr8...if u are into sensible driving then go for it blindly!!chek it out in any showroom n ur bound to fall in luv wid dis car!!!

disadvantages:

1.if ur lookin for terrific pickup then this aint the car 4 u..better go 4 an ikon...much more punch..but with good gear shift..accent will give a more than satisfyin pickup.

2.the siz e of this car is bigger than all oders in its class..so be careful in manoeverin the car in jam packed city roads.

3.the honda city offers better mileage in this class due to aerodynamicity but the accent is nxt to that..better than ikon,indigo n corsa.

4.central lockin should have been provided inthe base model.

5.the legspace in the back is ok..but could have done better considering the size of the car.a little more room wudda been spectacular.

final verdict:

i have had a fantastic driving xperience in the accent..m satisfied with the pickup n top speed is amazing.this is the ideal family car n also at the same time very good to flash around...the ac is powerful n fuel economy satisfactory.buy it if u want an all in one package..but if want to burn up the roads wid josh then go for ikon..but only 1.6...the 1.3 aint worth it.the city gives little better mileage n the indigo is much cheeper....but all in all the accent is definetely the best car around in its class.i wud strongly reccomend it.the new accent is goin to be launched in 2007 or so....if u can wait then ok but otherwise this one also has wat it takes to be the best in its class.go for accent viva if u r performance oriented.the crdi diesel is also verry good..but didn fit in my budget.its about 8 lac.

my review is based on an extensive research I made b4 goin in for a car n its soley based on my experiences n personal views....i would like to know if any of u differ from my opinion or have any suggestions which could help me..waiting to hear from u all!!
