Although it was me who recommended Hymus on Mouthshut but already there were two reviews before me;-p neways had been to Hymus for my friends treat with my group of best friends on saturday.
Located at New Link Road, Oshiwara the place is out in a secluded part of Andheri west. although there are many new restaurants in the vicinity.
We had pre-booked a table for 10people and reached the place around 9p.m. it was Bollywood night and the music was good, sound system rocking and the D.J. courteous enough to play songs on request. the place is spread across two floors but the upper section is a bit cramped up. theres no actual dance floor out there but the staff remove a couple of tables and make place for you to dance.
The bar located on the lower section has high chair seating and the remaining is normal table chair seating. the lighting is perfect, no too dim creating a party ambience. the bar menu is vast and has various options including classics, in house innovative drinks and cover almost all the brands of liquor.
Tequila Sunrise( tangy orange lime tequila drink) Brainstorm(dark, whisky and white rum combo) B52(vodka shot, sure to bomb in the throat) also Kiwi Cooler, a cocktail had refreshing taste of Kiwi crush and apple juice combined. for starters we ordered Corn Cheese Balls( cheese blast in your mouth when the crispy outer coating breaks in) Drunken Paneer( tender paneer pieces in a read wine barbecue sauce, spicy and different in taste) Chicken Reshmi Tikka(smooth tikkis of boneless chicken served with a minty chutney.
The spices in itself suffice for the taste) Penne is pesto sauce with Chicken(penne cooked al dante, chicken tender and the sauce creamy and well spiced) Veg Schezwan Noodles( fresh veggies tossed in Schezwan sauce seasoned to perfection) Chicken Manchurian balls for accompaniment was a delightful dish.
We ended our dinner with Caramel Custard(soft, perfectly sweetened and the dark caramel on top, yummmm) the staff was very cordial and accommodating to our needs. pricing is moderate and not over the top. a must recommendation for parties.
