If you look at normal customer behavior, we take efficient service as a standard and not many customers write about their good experiences.
If the experience was good - we expected it to be. If the experience was bad - we are irate and we want to express our displeasure.
So I am normally skeptical about products that have many good reviews.
If a product has many positive reviews, check them carefully. How many of them are fake?
Anyways, I tried this website Hopscotch.in. I normally avoid unknown and smaller players since they may not have good sales support. But I used this website since I got a link for a particular product of around 300/- from a friend.
Since it was not a big amount and there was Cash On Delivery, I ordered.
Wrong product delivered. Spent a lot of time with customer support to get the return organized. Replacement product was delivered to some other address and I had to follow up with customer support again.
After lots of follow up and almost a month after I bought the product and all the chasing and calls etc. I have a wrong product in my hand. I have given up.
For a 300/- product, I must have spent 50/- on phone calls and 4 to 5 hours of my time and 30 days of waiting. Nope. No more hopscotch.in for me. I will stick to the Amazons / Flipkarts. at least their customer support knows what they are doing
