I came across couple of reviews complaining about the bike stopping and here is my answer. It had been more than 59000 KM single handed on Unicorn within 2 yrs, All it had stopped is only when M out of fuel.

I am a serious bike borne traveler daily riding from Kalyan to Andheri and back, which makes effectively 120 KM per day. For those who don’t know about this route, 30 % of the road is heavily damaged and 30-40 % has heavy slow moving traffic and rest is the clean Express highway (half of which don’t have street lights), so this way I have all sorts of experience in an single day. The same route I have tried with TVS Victor GLX and Bajaj Pulsar DTSI-150 and the difference is Suspensions, Comfort, Pickup and Handling and I think these are the lifelines for both rider and the bike.

Some how there was some thing clicked me about this bike when I read the news of its launch and then I finalized to quench my most waited thirst. Similar to every one I started the research and my findings left me with…

Boss!! Go for pulsar, just look around. Abe Bajaj knows well about Indian roads, after all its Indian company It’s a new bike and you don’t know about the market review. Spare parts may not be easily available later

But the things, which made me buy my first bike, were come on yaar Its HONDA!! (My friends golden words) The significant difference of specification between Unicorn and Other-150’s

On 3 months of prolonged wait after booking I finally got my machine. I was not a novice but also not that good rider, I was a bit nervous while ridding it for first time but believe me it was never so easy before, I will always suggest new riders to learn on Unicorn cause it’s the most safe bike I have ever ridden.

And then began the Journey,

Reliability

Long Distances traveled yet are to Pune (165 KM) and Palghar (180 KM) non-stop.

It was seriously late for me and my wife for getting back to home from Palghar and after leaving the spot we found our selves in no mans land, Thick and dark Jungle on either sides of the road and no vehicles passing by, both of us were scared but not showing on either, It took us 1.5 hr to reach the highway and we were relaxed, but this journey boosted my confidence in my bike. After reaching home I kissed my bike and said …Thanks.

It had never got punctured until the tyre got weird out.

Performance

I have never seen any other bike (except karizma) ahead of me after Mulund Signal turns green (It’s the best racing track on whole express Highway).

I had count less races with pulsar’s and my bike never let me down.

I had couple of races with four wheelers also; especially the travel’s vehicles to show them their driving impact on others.

Some of my findings

(Please correct me if I have some wrong impression)

Advantage of Mono-Suspension:

Just have a look at the positioning of dual suspensions of other bikes they end/start just beneath the riders seat and the target center of the shocks is our spinal chord. Where as Unicorns mono-suspension is angled at 45 degree, repositioning the shocks in front side of the chassis. Evidence: I don’t have any back problems yet, my counterparts do have.

I want to write many more things but time don’t permit unless one last word,

Its one of the best assets of my life…
