I would first of all thank all  of you to write honest reviews based on your experiences.I am dinesh ramaraju working as developer and designer in Hyderabad which is my native.Beyond sentimental aspects I left the legendary splendor which will always be among the good bikes.I have recently purchased CB Unicorn  just last Sunday after a waiting period of 45 days which I think is less. Autofin Showroom, Uppal, being a bit far from the main city center has fast deliveries of Honda bike.

I appreciate the work of Honda team for again making up no much changes in the new CB Unicorn but a bit stylish look.Being 146 kgs bike delivering 13.3 bhp with 55-60 kmph is good for indian roads. This bike is now in tough fight with Hero Honda cbz xtreme and apache rtr 160.

Before owning this bike I drove Unicorn 2008 model which comes with spoke wheels. The same is the one with different look of change in the seat design, alloy wheels, 3d logo and rugged work with black finish and the same old engine and mono-suspension which is the best among other bikes.Comparing with CBZ, Apache, Yamaha FZ this bike is less in bhp and more sporty look even in means of price.Today this CB Unicorn is priced on road with 68, 000 and change and complete of 70, 648 with all accessories and decent Honda helmet. One problem which really is back is like saree guard is no more default in this bike.

A separate cost of rs405 is costed for that.I would stress on the point Unicorn being a youngsters bike and serving as good family bike saree guard isnt should be a crap reason to be special one.Paying rs1600 for accessories without indian requirements is no meaning.

Talking technically this bike comparing with cbz  and hunk it has same 149.2CC and engine is same in unicorn, cbz, hunk.Comparing with cbz , hunk unicorn is heavy bike and nearly height one to hunk.No vibration means like not going in more than 60kmph speed and testing whether it gives sound or shakes.Take a partner and drive a bit side to a bus or a lorry to check the bike vibrates either in 60 or 90 whatever.Due to unicorns 146kgs weight and perfect design with great handling you feel your only driving even in presence of a partner let both weight 70kgs each the ride is so comfortable you never feel uneasy on ups or downs.Traveling a speed of 80kmph for 2 hrs wont be any stress on this bike.Sometimes I felt on old uni which is my friend's one and new one did the engine stop its such a silent bike in  its segment.5 ft 8 inches height and 74 kgs rider will be really good one for unicorn.5ft 7inches rider is also ok but one should be bit weight for at least pushing the bike for 1km or 2 if the petrol runs out.Magic lies in parking the bike in center stand this bike behaves as if its light in weight.Bike come with 3 colors black, metallic silver and graphic red.But black has high resale value.

All hero honda or honda bikes are from honda's engine unicorn, pulsar, cbz, apache rtr have nearly 1500 to 2, 500 difference each. But never to pulsar which is more weight than unicorn and no refined engine nor resale in value and tough in clutch but looks are too young.RTR performing more than pulsar is 73, 000 today and is more bit good than pulsar with 14.4 bhp speed with 159.7cc and 136kgs with no good refined engine nor good after resale value and gets engine problems after 30, 000 kms on the facts of my 4 employers using those..Hunk is for height guys though good one is a flop coz of its international design which is not suitable for Indian needs. CBZ is good young bike and servers good for youngsters with same refined engine and yes very low mileage of 43-46 kms coz of its 14.4 bhp speed and pick up.Back ache problems are very high in cbz xtreme on long drive and no other issue in it.

Unicorn is of refined engine with 5 gear  only one side smooth gearing like the sports bike but with 55-60 kms of promised mileage. Honda.Honda is now having a very good after sales services which was really lacking some time back .As Honda is having only one single plant in India somewhere in haryana it was not upto the mark in spare parts or servicing since 3 yrs now its really working well at Hyderabad.Today Honda unicorn though released new rugged model 2010 I see 1 bike in a lane. Its so fast growing and the company is giving 20 yrs of engine performance.Engine is given 5 yrs warranty.it runs 0-60 in 5 sec yes its true.I myself laughed now I felt it.This bike can be very aggressive if challenged and decent in performance

As I am 27 yrs and recently married I enjoy driving a bike as an individual with friends on long drives on weekends, professional one for office and one in my family. Thus unicorn serves all the three. If people want to go for long life engine and performance with 100% resale go for CB unicorn.Beside owning a  family car I owned this bike as daily usage for long time.Cars are only for once in a moth or on an occasion.Business people need cars for daily usage. If I would have wished I would have taken a less expensive bike but unicorn is less cost in 150 cc segment with excellent performance and comfort in all ways .Just feel it.

Finally, As a young man I say  "It's a beast on roads which turns aggressive when challenged and Mr.Perfect in its segment with all decent long life performance.

Thanks and regards,

Dineshram.
