Having all sort of worst experience with HOMETOWN, Marathahalli, Bangalore.I strong recommendation, Never ever buy anything at Hometown even if they are giving items at best lowest price. I was Charged Twice on my credit card for my single product purchase. Low quality product delivery, big communication gap between diff dept in hometown.My story is as below.
I did a purchase of LCD wall unit on 26th jan . I did full payment and booked it. The wall unit was on republic day offer 37% off from MRP and I paid Rs22, 999 for that wall unit. I was told that on 5th Feb the product will be delivered. But I didn't receive an call from HomeTown about the delivery of my goods. So I called Hometown on 5th Feb at 4:30pm to check on the status of my items, a lady in customtakeouter care said the vehicle which was bringing our items and the product will be delivered only on 7th. At 5pm fitter called me to check if the product is delivered. At 6:15pm the vehicle driver who was bringing the my items called me to get landmark to my house and he said he is bringing my items. I dont know how the vehicle which met with accident at 4:30pm can now deliver the items at 6:30pm. Finally my items came to my house at 7:30pm.
Next day I called the fitter and he came to do the assembling of LCD wall unit. Upon opening the boxed we found that all the glasses were broken. I immediately called the customtakeouter care and registered a complaint. This was on 6th Feb. I started to follow up by calling Hometown to check on my status from 7th feb. When I called on 7th feb they said it will take 3 days for a response from Head office and the mail is already sent to head office and so only by 9th they can get back to me. Then on 9th I again called up they kept telling " waiting for response from HO" everyday I was calling and the same msg I was getting from them " waiting for response from HO".
Then on 14th feb evening I wrote a mail to feedback@futuregroup.in and the next day I got a call from a person from Hometown who is in a responsible post. He promised me that my items will be delivered by 19th feb. I got the replacement of those glasses on 18th feb. But again out of 5 glasses 2 came damaged the second time also. Cant the quality dept check the product before they dispatch it?I called that person again and finally I got those 2 glasses also replaced on 22nd feb.
Then came a big shock! I just checked my credit card statement and I found that on 20th feb HOMETOWN has charged me another Rs.22, 999.They have charged me twice for a single product purchase from them. I did all my full payments on Jan 26th itself. But I dont understand how on 20th feb they can charge me again. So it means that they are doing some fraud by duplicating my credit card. Now upon checking with my bank, there is a big procedure which I have to follow and I need to courier some forms, need to visit the bank etc. All this is unnecessarily stressing me out. I am already busy with my work and now all this is a real stress. I dont know how long this issue is going to take to get solved.
I strongly recommend don't ever go to home town to purchase anything. Let it be of lesser value or a high valued item. Be careful while using credit card, coz they are duplicating it.
