I had a general air conditioner for 5 years and was fed up with it, the ac was fine for 3 months but after that I had a tough time, leakage was very common, high bills were a big problem, the service was just fine.I decided to buy a 1.5 ton split ac with 5star rating...
I decided to buy hitachi and its been 2 years and iam more than happy except for its service, the cooling is superb, it jus needs 10 minutes to cool your room and makes no noise at all, my old ac used to take half an hour and plus that irritating noise..hitachi was very expensive when compared to samsung, voltas, lg, etc but its definately worth it, the difference in the bill was shocking, my ac bill used to be 8000 per month, now its 2500 to 3000 per month since the past 2years...
The only problem I have is the service, they are very lazy and u need to call them 3 to 4 times, but as long as the ac doesnt give me any trouble, iam happy...for those of you who want to purchase a new ac, go for hitachi, its expensive but definately worth it...if the service is improved then nothing like it...i bought the 1.5 ton split ac for 37000(insallation included)....
