Though the car generates prodigious amounts of tyre smoke if you spin the wheels in first (and I find that to be a GREAT deal of FUN!), I must say that the Amby 1800 ISZ is criminal! HM are bloody mad! The 1800cc Isuzu engine is way TOO powerful for the dated, ancient Amby running gear. The skinny tyres, crap suspension and chassis, and drum brakes all around mean that this car is a death trap that's waiting to be sprung.
Prod the throttle pedal too hard in corners, and the rear end steps out completely! If getting extremely sideways on public roads is your idea of fun, then this is the car for you, but then you'd better know your stuff, or you'll CERTAINLY end up in the nearest ditch. In any case, anything beyond 70-ish feels dangerous in this car. You feel you are about to crash, and for all you know, you probably are minutes away from that crash anyway!
The rear seats are still quite comfy, but noise, vibration, and harshness (the NVH factor) mean that this is no place to relax.
Time this car was consigned to the trashcan. Please HM, retire this one now. In case you didn't notice, it's 2002, and this car has been around for about half a century. Don't you think it needs to go now? Think...
