I do not quite know whats up to this man given the kinda music he makes. In the 1980s it was bappi lahiri who with songs like ''de de pyaar de pyaar de ..'' spoilt the musical scene. This song if u properly listen is on exactly the same tune as was composed by S.D. Burman for the Guide song.. dede megh de megh de paani de de rama megh de..).. so you just take a minute to compare these two songs. S.D. Burman's songs were often based on rabindrasangeet, they are just so sensual, just so beautiful (piya tose naina laage re etc.). And you compare this rama megh de megh de paani de de shama megh de.. to this bappi lahiri song.. ''de de pyaar de pyaar de ..'' you will get what I m trying to say. This man reshammiya is simply spoiling the musical scene of today. Look at the music that jatin lalit have composed for movies such as kuch kuch hota hai, DDLJ etc. Look at the music that Anu Malik, that Bhansali man Ismail Darbar have composed. They did not have to resort to such want-wit pathetic compostions to sell. The point I m trying to make is that in one of the interviews reshammiya said that when he composed the melodious music of tere naam, people dint appreciate it as much as they did the music of aashiq banaaya aapne, and so ''after having realised what (unfortunately) is the taste of people today I decided to compose in this style''. The reason that he's given is as much crap as his music (and supposedly the man himself!).

I do not know whether he uses pathetic instruments or what but u just consider the opening music of the song .. ''jhalak dikhla ja''.. I min its such crap.. I min it defines the word crap. (n I mean that truly madly deeply).

Some argue that reshamiya has had several hits.. well even emraan hashmi has hit several hits .. even shakti kapoor who reportedly has worked in over 700 films has had several hits.. but that needless to say dosent make him a star. Kumar Sanu I read in yesterday's lucknow times (TOI's city supplement in mi city) speak about this reshammiya man ''if emraan hashmi can become a superstar then anything can happen in this country''. I think that pretty well sums it up.

To ask the question point blank to all those reshamiyaa fans out there: has this reshamiya man even one song to his credit which could be called a classic .. a song which would be as enthusiastically be played on the radio 7-8 yrs down the line as say that jatin-lalit compostion pahla nasha or if thats asking too much then something even as simple as tu mere saamne main tere saamne tujhko dekhoon ke pyaar karu? Even one goddman song?
