It is almost 3 years since I bought hero honda splender. I did a market survey and initially I was getting the negative reviews from many mechanics stating that it is a failure model due to improper engine design that suffer engine cease. I had a technical discussion with the hero honda representative and he told me that they had modified the engine design( quantum core 125 cc). With some suspects I had gone for it as I did not see any other in that variant( price, non sporty, self start etc).
But over 3 years I am very happy with the vehicle especially for the pickup, steady when compared to its peers(splender+) and a decent look. But you cannot expect more for its mileage as it gives me 50Km / litre approx. but I can compromise for the pickup, breaking, etc.
Overall I would recommend to go for it if you are looking for a medium sized vehicle for the family use . especially if u are middle aged and a family man. Ideally I would give more rating to super splender than discoverer, cd dawn, splender+
