Splendor+ is the largest selling bike of india. It is the heart of the Hero Honda company. The old classic Splendor was released all over India in the year 2000 which clicked a lot. Then after wards the Hero Honda company started to think in a different way in remodelling the old splendor. Then in the year 2004 Splendor+ was launched. The main differences between Splendor and Splendor+ are the head and tail lamps and a little bit of different graphics. Almost all the customers have no complaints about the bike. The few complaints on this bike are about the suspension. Then came the Super Splendor in the 125 cc segment which fopped because of its looks and less performance and mileage. So why about that now our topic is Splendor+. Lets know about it.
STYLING OF HERO HONDA SPLENDOR+
The new Splendor+ has the same body of the old classic Splendor. The same shape, size and wheel base. The new things added to it are the multi reflector head and tail lamps. Extra graphics are also added to it to give a good look. The Graphics of this bike are great. The Splendor+ has a good long handle. The alluminium grip is not given to this bike but the classic iron bar is given. A well-cushioned low-slung seat helps you rest and ride at the same time. The dome of this bike is low not sporty like CT-100 and other bikes. So thats the styling of Splendor+
PERFORMANCE OF SPLENDOR+
The Splendor+ is equipped with a 97.2 cc engine. The engine is a 4-stroke, single cylinder lair-cooled, OHC engine. The ignition of this bike is electronic. The head light of this bike is a 12V 35/35W multi-reflector with halogen lamp. That gives a good look at night times. It is also very useful for the rider during night times as he could get a good vision of the path on which he is travelling. The frame of this bike is a Tubular double cradle type frame. The front suspension is of Telescopic hydraulic fork and the rear one is a Hydraulic spring loaded type with both side action suspension. But many of its owners complaint of bad suspension on bumpy roads. The wheel base of this bike is also good. Its about 1230 mm. The ground clearence of this bike is 159 mm. The former two points state that the comfort of this bike is good.The bike weighs about 109 kgs Kreb weight that means its a light vehicle and less stability on high speed. But you cant expect more weight on less engine power. The maximum speed of this bike is said to be 85 kilometers per hour. The mileage of this bike is said to be 60-65 in city riding conditions and on the high way due to less gear changes it may be giving 5 kms more. The fuel tank has a capacity of storing 10.5 litres and its good for a 97.2 cc bike. This bike is available with Disk brake in the front that is mere waste for a 97.2 cc bike. So thats the performance of this bike.
WHO SHOULD BUY/ WHO SHOULD''NT
The person who look for styling and mileage should buy this bike. This is well suited for those people who travel more than 40 kilometres per day.
