Hi Guys..

I am Ashwin working in bangalore in a software firm.

Even though I am active silent member :) since Jul-27-05, this is my first

review about my ZMA.I have been reading all the reviews and the dishum dishum

b/w pulsarian's and CBZ'ians.Any way it was fun and informative reading all the reviews.

I am a die hard fan of CBZ, but I couldn't buy one since HH discontinued it.

That was the time I was looking for a new bike and started reading all the reviews.

I had the following options,

Unicorn - Didn't like the looks and also couldn't feel the bike while riding.

Gladiator - I though the bike will be launched as displayed in Auto expo

, finally got disappointed by seeing a 125 cc bike.

P150 - It has everything I wanted power, style, sound. But its too common.

P180 - The black one is damn sexy, I have not ridden it.

But the reliability factor of Bajaj gear box which I read every where

was a concern 4 me.

Apache - And finally the Apache launched. I took a test drive I liked the bike.

Can rate in b/w a unicorn and P150.But the showroom guys told I have

to wait for 1 and half months.I didn't wanted to wait and also to take a risk

(vibes) by buying new bike.

So I decided to buy a RX100 and wait till a new bike launch.

Very next day I went to HH Show room to enquire about any upgrade of CBZ.

Then the guy asked me to take a test drive of ZMA. Its was a Yellow one,

I felt like driving a car as I was not able to see the front tier properly while riding:)

It was smooth and powerful. Next day I went to another show room and took the

ride once again in ring road. It was really fast, finally I decided to book a black one.

I got the bike in 3 days.

I bought the bike on July 12th.Now it has run 4800 km heading towards 3rd Service.

Till 1000 km's I did not go beyond 60.The bike is really smooth and very stable even

@ 110 without any vibes. The maximum speed which I did is 125. Its fun riding 80-100

in 4th gear and 100-120 in 5th.And about mileage I have got a minimum of 27 and maximum

of 43 in city conditions.

The handling is really good even in city traffic, you just can go like the way u think.

The disk break is also good, one which has saved me a few times at higher speeds.

I have gone for 3 trips as of now. First one to Pear Valley (70 km), the second

I went to my native Kerala (400 km). I never felt tiered riding it and it's

really comfortable for long drive. And the last week to Shivasamudra (130 km).

Import rant thing is I didn't face any sort of problems in all these trips.

Planning for Hogenekal nxt week :) Any one comming ?

The only problems which I am facing till now are:

  • Self start is not working in the morning without applying the choke.

  • Gears are quite hard to apply compared to 150's.

  • Back tire is quite skidy some times.

Any suggestions please before my 3rd service ?

Changes I would like to see in the bike's next version, if at all its there...

  • Wider tires

  • Mono shock

  • Disk brake in back

  • And the sound should me more vrooomm like CBZ and pulsar

  • Finally an extra 5 bhp :)

    This is my experience.....

All I want to say is One must ride a ZMA to feel it!!!

    Its 100% worth buying it.

Cheers,

Ashwin Raj.
