Again I bought this film and made popcorn, then I called my kids. I had loved this show as a kid and was happy to sit down with my family to watch. As a child I remember giggling and side splitting humour, however, we were disappointed. As soon as the popcorn bowl emptied, I the film was OK probably because of the good actors, but the storyline was weak and I was miserably disappointed. The film had been adapted for todays teens, it wasn't really the good clean fun that I remembered, more a teenage love story with a car instead of a dog!
I was disappointed, but in this case my kids sat down and finished the film later. I however haven't watched the end and haven't lost sleep wondering what happened, it was fairly obvious. Boy meets girl, girl has car, boy falls in love. Keep the car as a memory. Like a pet. Of course who could afford a car like that, and truthfully the story should be in X-files!
