It had been a while since I had visited the shack. I was catching up with an old friend and we decided to meet at Hawaiian Shack as it had been a while since we went there.
But this time around we were cheated by the Hawaiian Shack staff (A particularly rude Mr. Mridul) into paying Rs.800 per person on a Wednesday night. After entering, we asked around and found out that everyone else had paid Rs.400 per person. So, we confronted the Manager (Mr. Naik or so he told us) and initially he said that its Rs.800. After further prodding, he admitted that some mistake has happened but did not agree to reverse the 'mistake' and laughingly told us that we can use the extra amount that we have paid as cover charges. When we said that we would rather have the extra money back, he said that he will allow us free entry the next time we visit.
Given that one visits such places to relax and enjoy and not get ripped off, it left a very bad taste in the mouth. Surely, there won't be a next time Mr. Naik.
