?Stress?. who hasn?t experienced it? Of course, the stress levels and their causes may vary from individual to individual but its existence persists. I personally feel that?STRESS IS NEEDED IN LIFE.? Does this statement astonish you? Perhaps yes, but don?t you feel that the absence of pressures and tensions in life would make living dull and uninteresting.

Stress shares an equal share with happy moments to balance life. Stress adds the necessary flavor to life. However, too much stress can have adverse effects on one?s physical and psychological well being. I am calling?stress? a necessity because it symbolizes?a major challenge? and can work for you instead of against you.

Stress is unique because incidents and activities, which might seem relaxing to an individual, can make some other person stressed. For instance, consider an individual who?s a workaholic and who?s motive in life is to remain busy. He might find a very relaxing day by the beach very stressful. Every entity can thus define?stress? in its own way.

Dealing stress with a positive attitude can avoid your life from being in distress. Here are a few suggestions to tackle your tensions and nervousness. Actually all of us are well aware of these ways but the most important thing is to be able to put them into practice when we feel burdened by worries.

Read on?.

Speak it out:Bottling up your feelings can be dangerous. So let them out. You should try and share your worries and tensions with others, someone you confide in. You may feel relieved and perhaps, this angel like friend who?s lent you his ear can find solutions to your problems.

Try a physical activity: The best way to eliminate the pressures or tensions is to engage yourself in activities like walking, running, dancing etc. Such activities take away the stress and make you feel lighter and better. Some other, not so straining doings like gardening might help to ease and relax.

Meditate: Meditation, a mental technique, will help you focus and calm the mind, creating a restful state. Meditation leads to a feeling of inner calm and peacefulness, and will result in profound experiences of self-realization and thus lessen your pains or sorrows.

Make yourself feel special: Take good care of yourself. After all, to open those doors of happiness, you have to fight against all odds. Take a good sleep, relax, and eat well. This will provide you the ability to tackle all the difficult situations. Adequate rest hours are essential as that is the equipment to stay away from irritation and annoyance.

Participate: Loneliness sometimes makes you feel impatient and frustrated. It?s a nice idea to involve yourself with activities. You can participate as a volunteer at organizations engaged in social service. Help yourself by helping other people. This will give you a sense of satisfaction and the words?bored?, ?sad?, and?lonely? will slowly seem to disappear.

Shed the sorrows: Crying your heart out can prove a healthy way to relief you from anxiety. Tears will flow down with your inner worries and thus subside your bitter feelings. Deep breaths also release tensions.

Keep away from self-medication: There is a common belief amongst people, about reducing stress levels by using medicines over-the-counter. Such medications can relieve you of stress, but the effects are only temporary. In the longer run, they may become a habit and then make your body immune to such drugs. This can then became a cause for stress again. I would say, it?s always better to take medicines prescribed by a doctor.

Put yourself into the other person?s shoes: At times, others tend to upset you. This happens particularly because they don?t do things your way. But it is important to accept the fact that you may not always be right. Try and feel what you would have felt or done if you were in that other person?s place or situation.

This might help you realize that at times it?s necessary to accept things the way they are. This realization will put an end to your sorrows.

Change your motto of life to ?Everything happens for the best.?

This will convert the worst times to the best times of your life.

Time is the best healer. As time passes, the pains and tensions will reduce to a minimum. But until then, I hope these suggestions help you convert your frowns to smiles!
