Hi All,
Recently had an amazing experience with HSBC home loans. To start with let me know, I am having a horrible experience with this Bank and I strongly request you all and all my friends not to go for Home Loans with HSBC.
The reasons are as follows.
I applied for my first floor loan from HSBC , my ground floor loan was already with HSBC , all my documents were already with HSBC. HSBC has outsourced the marketing to small so called ''Marketing Companies''. These small marketing companies use HSBC name to sell loans etc. These are really ''Bunch of jokes'' , no clue what they talk about. What ever you say they say ''yes''. They don't know any rule of anything. They collected my pay slips and insisted me to give them the ''House Documents'' I explained them that , as already the house documents are with HSBC please check and let me know. After about a month, they said they found the documents and asked for some latest house tax receipt. I said them that even that was also with HSBC , so please collect it from them. In another 15 days they mailed me that my 10 lahk loan is sanctioned and asked me keep checking my account.
After checking my back accounts for a week , I decided to call the marketing guys. The Guys didn't have any clue on the status and kept on telling me that my amount will be coming. By this time I had already finished my 30% contribution and was waiting for the loan with my contractor always behind me.
After another 15 days, some guy visited my house , he said he was some valuer and came to check if I had completed my 30% contribution. He did not say any word and left. I was sure this time , I am going to get my money. But alas, still it did not come.
These ''bunch of jokers'' kept me giving some funny reasons. I asked them to given me some HSBC contact no, they did not agree to give. After insisting, finally they gave. I called up, some HSBC home loan lady picked up and in a furious tone told me ''Who gave you this number - You are not supposed to call here. Talk with you marketing agency''. After again asking for a number, they gave me a new no. This HSBC guy was a hero. Always busy in his mobile. Never got a chance to get him free on his mobile. If I even got him, he would promptly say, that he is in a meeting , in a nice way.
Fed up with all these, and about all the time (about 3 months) , as I was a bit free from my work, I visited the HSBC office in MG Rd (Bangalore). The security made me stand in the doors for 30 minutes and felt pity on me and asked me to go and sit in a meeting room. After another 15 minutes, the hero came. The was he was talking to me , I felt like I was there begging for money.
He said there was some problems in my estimates and I have to complete 3% more. I asked him why? He gave me many reasons.
I said him that , my work is already in progress , so he can check it up. He said , he cannot sent the valuer now, he will be sending him next week.
I waited the valuer did not come. Again I visited the HSBC hero.
Finally , the valuer came. The valuer gave a report that I have completed 33%. Now, I thanked God, I must be getting the loan now. I kept checking my account, nothing changed.
Tried calling the busy HSBC guy. So visited him again. He said he has sent my details to Mumbai office and I will get the money. (I am still waiting for the money)
By this time the Marketing agency guy called me up. He asked me If I had received the loan. I asked him why, he said, he did not get his commission for them bank yet, so he was worried.
I blasted at him and hanged the phone.
I planned to switch the loan to some Govt Banks, but as HSBC charges 2% penalty I am thinking to wait for few more days. I hope so.
